The needs of applicants in traditional program environments include a portal registration process followed by an (often lengthy and requirements-heavy) application process. The applicant portal should accommodate the complexity of undergraduate, graduate, and international applicants, rendering only the appropriate information and admissions requirements for each applicant.
Salesforce for Admissions – Non-Traditional Applicant Experience
In the case of non-traditional programs, applicants typically want to browse from a listing of available courses before ultimately “checking out” via a payment process. This experience differs from the traditional applicant process in that applicants choose only to identify themselves towards the end of the transaction. At the same time, the system should still be able to track their browsing and shopping behavior before authentication.
